Best Summer Burger


Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 C oats – steel-cut
  • 1/3 C onion – diced
  • 2 Tbs reduced-fat cheddar cheese
  • 4 whole-grain buns or slices of bread
  • salt & black pepper – to taste

Directions:

  1. Whisk egg in large bowl
  2. Add beef, oats, onion, & cheese
  3. Mix with your hands until well blended
  4. Form meat into four patties
  5. Place burgers grill over medium-high.
  6. Cook for 6 minutes per side
  7. Put meat on buns
  8. Serve with toppings

Makes 4 servings at 320 calories & 9.3 g each.
