What do the numbers 1810, 1910, and 2010 have in common? A mathematical equation, a secret code, an international telephone number…
These three numbers have very significant meanings to the people of México.
- September 16, 1810
- México’s War for Independence from Spain begins as Miguel Hidalgo declares Mexico’s independence

- November 20, 1910
- The Mexican Revolution begins as Francisco Madero calls for an armed revolution
- September 16, 2010
- México’s Bicentennial/Centennial of Independence and Revolution
- El Grito of “Viva México” scheduled for 11 pm, the night before (September 15)
- September 15 (Wed) & 17 (Fri) – recently declared gov’t holidays for 2010 (5-day holiday)
- México’s Bicentennial/Centennial of Independence and Revolution
Recently, Nate and I spent time in Puebla, Puebla, admiring the city’s decor and excitement for México’s upcoming patriotic event.

We ask the Lord to bless this country with peace and prosperity for many more years, allowing us to share the Gospel with the souls here in México!

Thanks Nikky! The entire street was lined with vendors offering an abundance of food and sweets. Our favorite – Gorditas de Nata!
